The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Made Formalwear Unfussy
There were plenty of the usual big and splashy red carpets to be had this week—but the formal fashions were anything but expected. Whether it was bold accessories (see Timothée Chalamet and his beaded pink scarf, paired with a classic Chanel jacket), or impactful colors that made a statement, the best dressed stars of the week were those who chose to embody glamor in both easy and unfussy ways. The takeaway of the week? Fashion should be fun, and not be taken so seriously!
Take Gwendoline Christie, who perfected the dressy-yet-effortlessly cool aesthetic while out and about in New York City. The star sported a timeless Prada coat and paired it with the label’s bug-eyed shades and sculptural heels. A true fashion lover. Ditto for Keke Palmer, who made an appearance on the Seth Meyers show in a vintage blue Dior dress finished with intricate embroidery. The only thing better than a classic Dior frock? A vintage one, that still feels totally modern no less.
As for other standout moments of the week, Taylor Swift made waves with her Chanel tweed jacket, worn to the Kansas City Chiefs game this weekend. Dr. Jill Biden also dressed to be noticed in a red Schiaparelli skirt suit at a White House event in Washington this week. A memorable (and elegant) ensemble for what is one of her final First Lady appearances of the year.
