Sonic Upgraded Its Menu With 2 Game-Changing Sauces and 2 Jr. Sandwiches

Sonic is giving you two all-new reasons to order French fries today.

On Monday, the fast-food chain announced that it's adding two new flavors to its dipping sauces with the release of Jalapeño Ranch and Asian-Style Sweet Chili. This way, the Oklahoma-based fast food chain explained, fans can get exactly what they want if they are looking for, whether it's “something creamy with a spicy twist or a sweet-meets-heat experience.” 

For more specifics, Sonic says its Jalapeño Ranch sauce is a “fiery remix of a fan-favorite classic. This sauce blends ranch with a zesty hint of green jalapeños to form a spicy, herby, and creamy dipping experience.”

Meanwhile, it added that its Asian-Style Sweet Chili is “sweet, spicy, and irresistibly delicious, this sauce brings a bold balance of heat and sweetness with notes of soy sauce, sesame, garlic, and ginger.”

As an added surprise, Sonic said it has also revamped a few of its other sauces — including its Ranch, Honey Mustard, and BBQ Sauce — to give more flavor punch with every dip.

“Our guests love customization, and the new Jalapeño Ranch and Asian-Style Sweet Chili dipping sauces let them try different flavor combinations to suit their style,” shared Mackenzie Gibson, vice president of culinary and menu innovation at Sonic.

“Whether adding a kick to our beloved Tots by dipping them in Jalapeño Ranch or pairing our Premium Chicken Bites with Asian-Style Sweet Chili sauce for a sweet finish, fans now have even more ways to personalize and enjoy their favorite SONIC meals with our extended sauce lineup,” Gibson added.

And it's not done yet.

The brand is also adding new treats to its $1.99 menu (aka its “FUN.99 menu”), including two new Jr. Chicken Sandwiches: the Original Jr. Chicken Sandwich and the Honey Chipotle Jr. Chicken Sandwich, both of which feature lightly breaded chicken and shredded lettuce — all seasoned on a toasted bakery bun.

The $1.99 menu also includes the Queso Wraps (available in Bacon Ranch and Southwest Crunch), French Toast Sticks, Small Groovy Fries, and Small Floats (including Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Barq’s Root Beer, and Fanta).
