Model Kendall Jenner has been spotted in Aspen with something rather surprising—no it’s the company she’s keeping or her ensembles—but how she’s adorned her fingertips. First observed while when she posted a few pouty selfies and one frothy looking espresso martini (in a chocolatey Phoebe Philo jacket to match), we couldn’t believe our eyes, asking “is Jenner wearing the long-abandoned, suburbanite square nail shape?”
“Square nails are making a comeback,” says the nail artist who is responsible for Jenner’s angular tips, Zola Ganzorigt. Short nails have been having a big moment in 2023, and for somebody who’s focused on sports (Jenner loves to snowboard), Ganzorigt says this is a good fashion-conscious and still functional middle ground. “It’s also better to keep her nails short because of work,” Ganzorigt adds.
To get the look classic French look (but not feel like you’ve been transported back to your middle school nail salon), Ganzorigt has a tip: Keep the white edge sharp and thin. “That’s what makes it modern and chic.”
