See which Middle Tennessee school districts are closing ahead of winter storm

Many students across Middle Tennessee will enjoy a second day off from school this week, as the region is set to experience a potentially significant snow event.

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for portions of Middle Tennessee, warning of widespread travel impacts including slippery roads and travel delays. The warning is in place for  9 p.m. Tuesday to noon Wednesday for northern counties.

A winter storm advisory is also in place for areas south of I-40.

According to the weather service, one to three inches will be common across the region, with areas to the northwest receiving between four to six inches. Nashville is anticipated to receive between two to three inches of dry, powdery snow said National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark Rose.

Here are the schools that will be closed Wednesday.
