I’ve been in a very happy mood lately, and I suspect it’s because the sun has started to make a more regular appearance. For me, this can only mean one thing: sandal weather is officially here. Now, do I need to add another pair of sandals to my arsenal? No. But will I? Yes. I’ve become obsessed with the season’s most sought-after and trending styles, via the S/S 24 runways and pictures of the fashion set rocking them. Chunky platforms, strappy gladiators and sleek slides were seen at shows including Miu Miu and JW Anderson, each offering their unique take on warm-weather footwear. But amidst the sea of options, there’s one place I always turn to first when it comes to seasonal shoes: Marks and Spencer.

M&S has long been a staple for us Brits, known for its quality craftspersonship and timeless designs. From its classic suede loafers to the cult-favourite leather ankle boots, M&S has a knack for creating shoes that stand the test of time. But it’s the brand’s sandals that have truly stolen the spotlight in recent years, with viral styles like the cushioned-footbed slides and lace-up espadrilles becoming instant hits amongst fashion insiders.

As I look to refresh my warm-weather wardrobe, there are a few sandal styles at the top of my list, and luckily, M&S has them all. First up is a pair of strappy leather sandals with a low block heel, perfect for the al-fresco parties quickly filling up my social calendar. Next, I have my eye on a pair of chunky platform sandals, ideal for adding some height without sacrificing comfort. And finally, I can’t resist a classic pair of slides, easy to slip on for those lazy summer days spent lounging by the pool.
