CVS Health (NYSE:CVS) will reportedly have its drug plans cover over-the-counter birth control pills such as Perrigo’s (NYSE:PRGO) Opill.
CVS plans to add Opill to its preventative services oral contraceptives list, which will result in the product being covered at no cost for many plan sponsors, according to Bloomberg.
Perrigo announced on Thursday that it plans to make Opill available later this month online and through retailers and pharmacies nationwide. The FDA approved the product for OTC use for all ages in July 2023.
