Boeing’s 737 MAX 10 certification might not come until 2025 – Ryanair CEO
Boeing’s (NYSE:BA) 737 MAX 10 certification might not come until 2025, according to statements made by Ryanair’s CEO during a press briefing on Tuesday.
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary said certification could occur by the Q4 2024, but it might not happen until 2025, according to a report by Reuters. Ryanair, a Dublin-based, low-cost carrier, has 300 Boeing (BA) 737 MAX 10’s on order. These are expected to be in service by or before 2034.
Boeing (BA) shares fell nearly 8% during trading on Tuesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration uses the certification process to “manage risk through safety assurance.”
