The BBQ Daddy Grill Brush Is Finally Back in Stock

My kitchen is well stocked with grilling accessories. You name it, I probably own it, including griddles, grill baskets, tongs, digital meat thermometers, and more. The only area that could do with some improvement is my grill brush. I’ve heard too many stories about metal bristles finding their way into food, so I’ve been biding my time, waiting for one particular bristle-free model to come back in stock: the BBQ Daddy. Patience, it turns out, is a virtue. Not only is the brush finally available to purchase again, but it’s also on sale at The Home Depot for a limited time. 

Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Brush 

When I read about the BBQ Daddy last year, I knew this marvel of a bristle-free grill brush was worth waiting for. It’s made by my favorite sponge company, Scrub Daddy, which harnesses the power of water temperature to optimize washing dishes. While cold water makes the texture of the sponge more abrasive for deep cleans, hot water softens it for surfaces requiring a gentle touch, like nonstick skillets. 

Scrub Daddy applied this same technology to the BBQ Daddy. Instead of bristles, this grill brush has a foam core encased in stainless steel mesh. Since temperature affects the texture of the interior sponge, the brand recommends submerging it in cold water before running it over hot grates. The resulting steam softens the foam, allowing the sponge to mold around the grates as you clean. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the head is equipped with a stainless steel scraper for stubborn bits that refuse to come off and a retractable hook for particularly dirty grates that need lifting. After use, simply detach the top to rinse it clean or replace it with the brand’s $10 refill if it’s seen better days.    

The Home Depot shoppers are rightly impressed by the BBQ Daddy. While one wrote that it “cleans like magic,” another called it the “best grill brush” they have ever invested in. A third said that after “literally two minutes” of cleaning, their Weber grill looked “brand new.” 

I’ve waited months for the BBQ Daddy to hit digital shelves again. Now that it’s here (and on sale), I’m not waiting a second longer to add it to my cart.
