Saks and Proenza Schouler Hosted a Dinner at Chateau Marmont in Celebration of Their Spring Collection

A balmy evening on the first day of spring provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate dinner at Chateau Marmont to celebrate the launch of Proenza Schouler’s Spring Summer 2024 Collection at Saks.

Guests from the world of art, fashion and film, including Louisa Jacobson, Awkwafina, Devon Lee Carlson, Dree Hemingway, Gia Coppola, Highdee Kuan, Honor Titus, Jamie Mizrahi, and Jordan Wolfson, joined co-hosts Jack McCollough, Lazaro Hernandez and Saks’ Will Cooper for cocktails on the terrace of the Chateau’s legendary penthouse overlooking Sunset Boulevard.

After a morning spent at the new Saks Fifth Avenue West Coast women’s flagship (located in the former Beverly Hills Barneys New York space) where the pair presented their Spring Summer 2024 Collection, McCollough and Hernandez were ready to kick back and relax. “It’s a great moment to bring all our friends together,” Hernandez told Vogue as the crowd took their seats for a three-course dinner at tables adorned with blue delphiniums and ivory taper candles. “These are all the people that I want to see.”

As the design duo, fresh from an Ayurvedic detox in Mexico, table hopped, catching up with friends including Jacob Bixenman, Jay Massacret, Jen Brill and Lisa Love (who was hosting another dinner for them the following night), stylist Dani Michelle discussed summer travel plans with Aimee Song and Stephanie Suganami, while Casey Fremont caught Alex Israel up on her recent Art Production Fund gala in New York City presented by Saks.

“We had such a nice day with the boys,” said co-host Cooper as the evening drew to a close. “They launched at Barney’s 20 years ago in the building that is now Saks, so it was great going into the building with them. There are so many people who have watched the brand develop over that time so it was sort of a homecoming.”
