Is Lorde’s $185 Snow Peak Titanium Aurora Bottle Worth It?

Lorde’s forthcoming album “Virgin” will be released in just over a month, and fans are on the edge of their seats. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lorde was tasked with sharing seven artifacts that helped inspire the album. She presented her favorite water bottle from Snow Peak, a pack of 5 Gum, a roll of T-Rex tape, and a shoelace belt.

It was nothing deep to it. I’m super into anodized metal — it has this magical quality to me,” Lorde said. “It reminds me of my first iPod,” a purple iPod Nano.

The bottle comes in four solid colors and the anodized hue that Lorde loves. This lightweight bottle can hold up to 27 ounces of water. The singer said it’s durable enough to withstand constant dings from accidentally dropping it over the years. The screw-on cap has a convenient loop for portability, which may be why Lorde doesn’t leave home without it.

While some have questioned Lorde’s choice to buy such an expensive bottle, others say they’re missing the point. “It’s about having some sort of object that keeps you grounded and present,” said one Redditor. “A $20 water bottle would have the same effect. It’s all about the intention you place on it.”

That seems to fall in line with Lorde’s sentiments when describing the bottle: “It has this feeling of stickers and cool childhood magic-y sh*t,” she told Rolling Stone. “I’m always trying to keep magic close to me. It’s like my wand or something.”
