An easy ground beef dip that everyone will seriously love. It’s really cheesy but doesn’t use any dairy other than sharp cheddar so it’s very deep in flavor. You can also spread this beef dip on bread buns to make sliders or sloppy joes instead. Throw this easy ground beef dip together and your party guests will be asking for the recipe, for sure!

Directions

1. To make the ground beef dip: Place ground beef, jalapeño, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large braiser pan over medium-high heat.

2. Cook the meat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook the ground beef, stirring regularly until most of the moisture has evaporated and the mixture is crumbly and begins to brown, about 15 minutes.

3. Stir in chicken broth, cornstarch (if using), strained tomato, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Give it a good stir and bring the beef mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring from time to time, until mixture is thickened, about 25 minutes.

4. Top the ground beef dip with half of the shredded cheddar. Poke cheese down into the dip with a fork, stirring lightly, and top with the remaining half of the cheese.

5. Place pan with the ground beef dip under the broiler and broil until cheddar is browned and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the ground beef dip with red chili pepper flakes, chopped parsley, and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature. Enjoy! ❤️

  • Add a packet of taco seasoning to the ground beef dip or a teaspoon of cumin for a Tex-Mex flavor.

What to serve with the ground beef dip?

We enjoy this ground beef dip with sliced baguette, crackers, celery sticks, bell pepper sticks, tortilla chips, or as a spread on bread buns.

How to make the ground beef dip in advance

Want to prepare this ground beef dip ahead of your party or game day? Easy! Make the dip using the directions except you do not add the cheese. Let the ground beef dip cool down and put it in the fridge. Reheat on the stovetop over medium heat when you’re ready to serve, stirring regularly until heated through. Then add cheese and broil for 5 minutes right before serving.

How to keep the ground beef dip leftovers?

You can keep the ground beef dip leftovers (if any!) in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a cast iron pan on the stovetop or in the oven. You might want to add a few drops of water or broth to loosen the sauce.
