Do you ever feel like—despite being a fully formed adult over 30 with two kids—you just don’t look grown up? Or is that just me? Whether I’m alone in this boat or not, I’m resolving to change things in 2024—starting with how I dress. While I don’t feel like my style really needs a complete overhaul, as I tend to keep things pretty classic, I do feel like I could step things up in regard to dressing less casual and looking more polished and put together instead. Luckily, my research (or delusion) has led me to believe it’s really not that hard. All you need are nine upgraded basics, most of which you probably already own, and to make some simple swaps in your day-to-day outfits.
