Yes, Olive Garden Turned Its Menu Into Pool Floats

  • Olive Garden launched a limited-edition line of pasta-shaped pool floats and accessories, including a breadstick bucket hat and soup-themed mini floats.
  • The collection quickly sold out, prompting fans to call for a restock.
  • To ease the FOMO, Olive Garden is offering free delivery to the first million online orders using the code OGDELIVERS.

Olive Garden wants to turn your pool into a giant bowl of pasta. No, really — that’s the verbatim goal behind their latest merch launch.

The chain just dropped a limited-edition collection of pasta pool floats perfect for summer parties, and this larger-than-life accessory is clearly built for dedicated foodies. (We’d be willing to bet the Florida-based chain knows a thing or two about throwing a poolside bash.)

Shoppers have their pick of three on-theme pasta shapes inspired by the real-life Olive Garden menu: Floatin’ Fettuccine, Takin’ It Easy Tortelloni, and Relaxin’ Rigatoni. We’re especially fond of the tunnel-shaped rigatoni float (the ideal shape for snoozing after a massive bowl of pasta), while Olive Garden suggests that the Floatin’ Fettuccine could easily hold a floating feast.

In the announcement, the chain connects the quirky launch to its core menu offerings: “Olive Garden has always been known for going big — big portions, big value, and never-ending first courses,” Jaime Bunker, senior vice president of marketing, says in the announcement. “This summer, we’re bringing that same spirit of abundance to the pool. Our pasta-inspired floats are a larger-than-life way to celebrate the dishes our guests love, and just like in our restaurants, every order starts with a first course.”

The collection hit Olive Garden’s official merch site on Monday afternoon, with each noodle retailing for a cool $40 each. (That includes a matching “first course” accessory, the brand tells us.) That’s a sly callback to Olive Garden’s trademark never-ending appetizers such as the buttery, garlic breadsticks and house salads — but this time, it’s reimagined as cheeky soup tote bags, drink-sized pool floats, and a breadstick bucket hat.

Judging by the praise in the brand’s comment section, the full collection sounds like it’s worth every penne

Unfortunately, Olive Garden tells Food & Wine that the collection has already sold out. Consider this our official petition for a restock — after all, the pastabilities with this launch are endless, as Olive Garden jokes on its TikTok page. There’s no word yet on the resale market for this collection, but we can only imagine the eBay markup.

Hungry for a restock and dinner? Diners can snag a delivery deal to hold them over. The Darden Restaurants-owned brand is offering free delivery to the first million customers who use the code OGDELIVERS on online orders. Because nothing soothes the sting of missing out on a pool float like a big bowl of creamy fettuccine.

Our idea of an ideal summer date night is eating Olive Garden takeout on matching Tortelloni floats. Is that too much to ask?
