Congress on Monday is set to formally certify President-elect Trump's 2024 election victory.
As president of the Senate, Vice President Harris, whom Trump defeated, will oversee the process.
Monday marks four years since a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an effort to overturn his 2020 defeat. While this certification is expected to go smoothly, the aftermath of that day is hanging over the proceedings.
The electoral ballot boxes will be walked through Statuary Hall in the Capitol at 12:45 p.m. and a joint session of Congress will convene at 1 p.m.
