U.S. drilling rigs fall for the fourth time in five weeks, Baker Hughes says

Total active rigs drilling for oil and gas in the U.S. fell by 4 to 600, the count’s fourth reduction in the past five weeks, Baker Hughes reported Friday, bringing the count 16% below this time last year.
The week’s entire decline by seen in gas rigs, which lost 4 to 99, its lowest count since October 2021, while oil rigs stayed flat at 497 and 4 rigs remained classified as miscellaneous.
