Toyota Motor GAAP EPS of ¥100.62, revenue of ¥12041.1B; raises FY24 outlook
- Toyota Motor (NYSE:TM) has raised its full fiscal year profit forecast Tuesday after reporting its profit in Q3 nearly doubled from the year before.
- Q3 profit totaled ¥1.36 trillion ($9 billion), up from ¥727.9 billion in the same period in 2022.
- Q3 GAAP EPS of ¥100.62.
- Revenue of ¥12041.1B (+23.4% Y/Y).
- Forecast of Consolidated Results for FY2024 (April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024) : Toyota also raised its full year sales projection to ¥43,500B ($294 billion), from an earlier estimate of ¥43,000B ($290 billion). It was ¥37 trillion in the previous fiscal year.
- Operating income of ¥4,900B; Earnings per share attributable to Toyota Motor Corporation – Basic of ¥332.97.
- Toyota, based in central Japan’s Toyota city, raised its full fiscal year profit forecast to ¥4.5 trillion ($30 billion), from an earlier forecast of ¥3.95 trillion ($27 billion). It earned ¥2.45 trillion in profit in the year that ended in March 2023.
- The company did not raise its vehicle sales forecast for the full fiscal year, instead cutting it to 9.45 million vehicles. Toyota had earlier expected to sell 9.6 million vehicles. Even the lower forecast is better than the previous fiscal year’s sales of 8.8 million vehicles.
