The Tables at Last Night’s Dinner Celebrating the Remy Renzullo x Carolina Irving & Daughters Collab Were Unsurprisingly Gorgeous

Despite the bouts of rain that showered the city on Wednesday evening, friends and family of Carolina, Olympia, and Ariadne Irving, together with decorator Remy Renzullo, came to the Adam Williams Fine Art to celebrate their sophomore collection sold exclusively on Moda Operandi.

The collaboration, which consists of twelve unique pieces of tableware, was dreamt up in the English countryside and inspired by 18th and 19th-century ceramics. “It’s like we’re creating tomorrow’s heirlooms today,” Olympia Irving tells Vogue. “The collection is something different to what we usually have, with our style being very rustic. But Remy brings a very delicate side to things, which I think is what’s so nice in his interiors.”

The evening was a true family-style gathering: dishes were passed, wine glasses were filled, and plates were cleared. But the familial connections extend beyond the table; the venue is currently owned by their friend, Patrick Williams. Two plates from the collection were named after friends Angelica Hicks and Lily Baker. And the bond between the Irving women and Renzullo runs deeper than their collaboration—having known each other since childhood.

Of course, no detail was spared. Portuguese sardines prepared by chef Filippa Brandolini paid homage to where each plate was meticulously hand painted. Individual name cards were designed to mirror the collaboration’s floral motifs, and the dessert—a rich, velvety homemade chocolate cake—was decorated with colorful candles to celebrate one of their dear friend’s birthday, who happened to commemorate their special day with the hosts of the evening. Other notable attendees of the night were Wes Gordon, Amy Astley, Sabine Getty, Alexandra O’Neill, Filippa Brandolini, Muriel Brandolini, James de Givenchy, and more.

Curious to know the secret behind hosting a successful dinner party? “The host always sets the tone for the evening—you don’t want to seem stressed around your guests!” says Renzullo. “Have a good attitude, get everyone to enjoy themselves, and make sure you’ve got good wine, and you’re bound to have a good time.”
