The Bride Wore Custom Dior Haute Couture for Her San Francisco City Hall Wedding

For his wedding weekend ensembles, Deven worked with Tom Marchitelli of Gentleman’s Playbook, who he has collaborated with since the start of his career. “Tom’s approach to bespoke tailoring goes beyond measurements—he understands Deven’s style, proportions, and presence,” notes Hayley. “Each piece embodied Deven’s signature style—refined, confident, and uniquely his own,” says Hayley of his four looks. The groom chose an embroidered suit for the rehearsal dinner and a sleek graphite ensemble for the welcome party. “For the ceremony, he embraced the highest formality with a white tie tuxedo, a tribute to classic elegance,” describes Hayley. “An additional tuxedo jacket allowed him to transition seamlessly from vows to the dance floor.”

The couple's family-focused wedding party included Hayley’s sister Shea as maid of honor and Deven's sisters Brittany and Lauren. They all wore custom Markarian looks for the wedding day, while Shea’s boyfriend Zach Moore, who served as officiant, wore a bespoke Gentleman’s Playbook suit. “Our wedding wasn’t about tradition for tradition’s sake. It was about surrounding ourselves with those who have been a meaningful part of our story,” says Hayley. “Each look was a reflection of the love and history we share.”

After days of celebrations full of friends, family, and Dom Pérignon, the wedding day finally arrived. Guests entered the iconic building to discover the ceremony space at the base of the rotunda’s grand staircase. “We wanted a ceremony that felt timeless, honoring tradition rather than trends,” says the bride. “City Hall’s grand architecture is striking, with its towering stone walls, so we softened the space with dark greenery and cream florals to introduce warmth and romance.”

Even in such a large space, the ceremony felt personal. “A gifted writer with a sharp wit, Zach has known us as a couple since the beginning, making his perspective on our love story all the more meaningful,” says Hayley. The couple also both recited their own vows. As a nod to her grandmother, Hayley had hers embroidered on a handkerchief for Deven. “Though we hadn’t shared them beforehand, they were uncannily similar—true reflections of our shared heart,” explains the bride. “I had practiced mine throughout the day to steady my emotions, but in that moment, it felt like we were the only two in the room.”
