The Best New Kitchen Arrivals at Williams Sonoma
With the holidays fast approaching, I’m making a list and I’m definitely checking it twice. As someone who writes about kitchen equipment for a living, I’m always on the lookout for gear that will make great gifts for the food-minded people in my life, and Williams Sonoma never disappoints. Whether I’m looking for a deal on cast iron cookware or searching for clever kitchen tools, the store has something for everyone. These new arrivals are so great that I’m scooping them up to gift this holiday season, though I may just add them to my own wish list, too.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Holly Soup Pot
Le Creuset makes some of our favorite enameled cast iron cookware, and this holly branch embossed soup pot would make the perfect addition to my collection (hint hint to any of my family members reading this). Its rounded bottom and sides ensure smooth stirring for thick stews or gently simmering soups. As a strong proponent of having soup for every meal, I have a feeling I’ll be using this soup pot long past winter.
Staub Enameled Cast Iron Deep Oven
I love all my Dutch ovens equally, but have been eyeing this deep oven from Staub for all my simmering and slow-cooking needs. Designed with a deep base and taller sides for even better heat retention and distribution. Plus, it’s 50% off, which is rare for a heritage brand like Staub, so I’m adding this one to my wishlist ASAP.
Epicurean Pan Scraper
I love giving out unexpectedly genius stocking stuffers that people will use again and again. I have no doubt that this little pan scraper from Epicurean will come in handy in any household. Great for cleaning up stuck-on food char or scrambled eggs, this scraper has beveled edges to get into the crevices of stainless steel cookware or cast iron skillets.
Jeanne Fitz Foldable Potato Masher
My father-in-law makes the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had, but he’s always struggling to put away his potato masher, which likes to stick out at odd angles in his kitchen tools drawer. This holiday season, I’m thinking of getting him this foldable potato masher that’s able to lie flat. The compact design is so clever, I might add this to my own wish list, too.
Popsmith Stainless-Steel Popper Set
For the friend or family member who seemingly has every kitchen gadget on the face of the planet, the Popsmith popcorn popper makes for a fun gift that’ll delight and surprise them. It makes theater-worthy popcorn (trust me, I’ve tried it) and is so well-designed it might just earn a permanent place on the stovetop.
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Milk & Cookie Plate
My sister-in-law is going to have her first child soon, and I can’t seem to stop buying gifts for my soon-to-be nephew. I thought of him right away when I saw this holiday milk and cookie plate that has Santa on the plate and a reindeer on the accompanying cup. As a lover of milk and cookies, I might end up grabbing it for myself. My nephew won’t mind if I use it first, right?
Williams Sonoma Novelty Wine Stopper, Snowman
While I could think of at least five people in my life who would absolutely love this holiday wine stopper as a stocking stuffer, I may just grab it for myself. The handcrafted snowman comes complete with an upturned carrot nose and a black top hat. The silicone-ribbed base also provides an airtight seal to keep wine fresh after it’s opened. While the snowman is my favorite, I can’t help but also eye the reindeer and Christmas tree versions.
De Buyer Crepe Kit with Bonne Maman
When I saw this De Buyer crepe pan with an accompanying crepe spreader and spatula, I knew I had to get it for my childhood friend who loves to experiment with baking. She’s always trying new recipes, and while she’s never made crepes, she loves to eat them. This kit also comes with a Bonne Maman hazelnut chocolate spread — yum.
Figural Snowman Mug
My mother-in-law loves snowmen and hot chocolate. What better gift to give her than a snowman mug? The adorable ceramic mug has a hand-painted design and is microwave- and dishwasher-safe. Complete with a bright carrot nose and plaid scarf, this sweet snowman will make a great holiday gift for my mother-in-law.
Noel Ceramic Stoneware Spoon Rest
My mom loves spoon rests and loves to switch them out based on the season, so I’m adding this Noel stoneware spoon rest to her collection this holiday season. With a design of winter berries and green foliage, this festive spoon rest will make my mom merry and help keep her stovetop clean while she cooks.
