Taylor Swift Steps Out for a Pre-Super Bowl Girl Dinner in a Groupie’s Favorite Coat

Touchdown! Game day is here, we’ve reached Super Bowl Sunday 2025. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off, Kendrick Lamar will headline the halftime show, and Taylor Swift is going to wear something—likely in Chiefs red—and support her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The city of New Orleans is abuzz, and on a vibrant pre-match Saturday, Swift was spotted out for dinner at Gianna’s. How best to settle your nerves than a rustic Italian with a Southern twist, shared with some of your best girl friends, the HAIM sisters?

Swift was photographed arriving with pals and musical collaborators Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, wearing a fluffy Penny Lane coat—a style favored by both she and Haim for its feminine ’70s style.

The Reputation singer wore a Charlotte Simone Billie Jacket, with towering Saint Laurent platform ankle boots. The cropped black faux leather jacket has a shaggy, biscotti brown trim and sleeves. Swift also toted a soft, slouchy leather and Dior D Journey Bag with gold hardware, and wore a Louis Vuitton Blossom ring and Ben Amun Roman linked coin necklace.

The Penny Lane style coat is known as such for the fictional rock groupie Penny Lane, played by Kate Hudson in the 2000 cult classic film Almost Famous. Her ’70s-inspired bohemian style has sporadically come back around again, and the Afghan coat is having a particular moment: From Kendall Jenner to Bella Hadid, wearing true vintage styles or Copenhagen’s Saks Potts, and Swift’s fave, British brand Charlotte Simone.

Swift’s winter WAG (‘wives and girlfriends,’ for the uninitiated) wardrobe has incorporated the coat silhouette on several occasions. In December, she headed to the Arrowhead Stadium where the Kansas City Chiefs were facing off with the Houston Texans wearing the Lulu faux fur coat from British label Charlotte Simone. She also wore a felted vintage Chanel bucket hat, Sheertex argyle tights, knee-high Manolo Blahnik black boots, and an oxblood leather handbag from Tods.

Her game day wardrobe runs the gamut of labels and Chiefs-toned fits. For Kelce’s crucial play-offs match up against the Houston Texans, Swift sported full Chanel from the 2025 Resort collection. She wore a tweed black and white jacket, a black quarter-zip wool romper, and pointy knee-high boots. She accessorized with more Chanel too: a pearl and gold belt, interlocking CC logo earrings, and a black mini-quilted bag.
