Six Flags Is Updating Its Mobile App

Six Flags’ mobile app is getting a makeover.

From pre-planning tools to the in-park experience, the “groundbreaking enhancements” strive to “improve guest experience and streamline park operations,” Six Flags Entertainment Corporation shared with Travel + Leisure in a press release.

The overhaul strategy for its mobile app and website is backed by artificial intelligence and led by The Digital Alliance.

The updates will begin before park goers ever step foot inside, including a new website launching later this year, loyalty program, and Missi Six, a digital concierge powered by Generative AI.

Once inside the park, guests will notice improvements to the mobile app, which will significantly improve its key functions, including mobile food and beverage ordering, park navigation, and more. A new Six Flags digital wallet will also launch which will streamline the payment system eliminating the need for physical forms of payment. Other enhancements park-wide include the use of new photo-capturing technology on its roller coasters, e-gaming, retail self-checkout, expedited parking, and improvement of the live ride wait time system.

“Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, and this digital transformation is a testament to our commitment to providing unparalleled experiences where technology meets fun and excitement,” Selim Bassoul, CEO of Six Flags, shared in the press release. “AI allows us to enrich and personalize every guest touchpoint.”

Six Flags operates 27 theme and water parks across North America, including the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

It’s an exciting time of growth for the company as it’s making significant investments portfolio wide. This includes the upcoming opening of luxury glamping accommodations, Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa at Six Flags Great Adventure, nestled in the park’s 350-acre safari.
