I'm not sure which princess is the opposite of Sleeping Beauty, but whoever she is, I relate — hard. Sleeping has never come naturally to me. My mom likes to remind me (weekly) how poor of a sleeper I was right from the jump, and I wish I could say things have improved since then, but I don't know if they have. I have a hefty nighttime routine — consisting of a sleepy tea, red light therapy, a magnesium supplement, an hour of reading, and more — but that doesn't always guarantee me a full eight hours of shut-eye. Because of all of this, I've put a lot of thought (and money) into my bedding, from my mattress to my cotton sheets and my pillows.
I'm a bit of a collector when it comes to pillows, and I like to sleep with a minimum of two, but ideally three, for optimal comfort. I've tried my fair share of options over the years, but I had yet to find one I was in love with until I tested the Sijo FlexCool Shredded Memory Foam Pillow ($80).

This memory foam pillow has it all: customizable loft, cooling technology, and a cloud-like feel. It's officially ended my pillow hunt. Keep reading to learn more about it and how it's held up over the last five months.
What I Like About the Sijo FlexCool Shredded Memory Foam Pillow
I've been testing the Sijo FlexCool Shredded Memory Foam Pillow for five months now, and I'm still just as impressed with it as I was the first night I slept on it. When I unpacked the pillow, it came with a pouch of memory foam stuffing if I wanted more lift and cushion. However, I found the pillow as is to be perfect for my needs — it's soft and bouncy, but not too firm or flat.
As soon as I put a pillowcase on and laid down, I was shocked by how cool it felt under my head. It was almost too cold at first, but then I adjusted to it and realized how heavenly this would be in the middle of the night when I started to overheat (which happens often). After months of use, the FlexCool technology is still going strong; I love being able to flip it over in the middle of the night to get the cool side.
I used to sleep with two pillows to get the right lift and softness, but now I can just use this one and I'm super comfortable.
