Shoppers Swear by This Anti-theft Backpack That Fits Everything for a Week

As a chronic overpacker who can barely get by with carry-on luggage, much less a backpack, I typically buck up and pay the baggage fees for my full-sized spinner. However, with a few short trips on the horizon (and airline costs that make justifying this overpacking habit harder and harder), I’ve been on the hunt for a roomy yet compact bag as my solution. 

Now, I think I’ve found it — and it’s shockingly under $40. This clever style at Walmart, which has over 260 five-star reviews, has me rethinking my anti-backpack stance.

The water-resistant backpack, which comes in over 30 different available colors, is made from a durable polyester material that makes it lightweight and long-lasting. The padded shoulder straps are crafted to relieve pressure on your shoulders, even when carrying a full week’s worth of clothes and shoes, and the breathable design keeps you cool as well. Plus, there’s a USB charging port so you always have a pre-flight solution for a dying phone or Airpods. 

The bag was created to deter theft thanks to its discreet zipper pocket that’s large enough to hold your valuables, including your phone, wallet, keys, or even an iPad. There are two spacious main pockets as well as technology compartments that are roomy enough for a 13-inch tablet and 14-inch laptop. There’s a separate, zippered shoe compartment so you can conveniently store them away, and a wet bag that’s made from a water-resistant material that will keep the dry items in your backpack dry. 

If you’re not a fan of the backpack style, that doesn’t necessarily make this bag a deal-breaker either. You can actually convert it into a duffel bag, which you can just as easily toss over your shoulder.

Shoppers raved about the sturdy backpack, which they said is perfect for budget airlines that limit luggage.
