I’m a huge champion of exactly three things for summer: adult body shimmer, sunscreen, and ultra-luxurious body oil. I absolutely love a good body shimmer, but I’ve found a lot of them to be underwhelming once you actually put them on your skin. That’s not the case with this one. Vacation’s Shimmer Oil makes your skin so luminous, and it looks gorgeous when the sun hits it just right. Don’t worry, though. I say “human disco ball” for dramatic effect, but it isn’t overwhelming or too much—I promise. It includes two types of gold mica shimmer: a base layer of pearlescent glaze and then larger-sized gold flecks that give it even more of a boost. The effect is truly something to behold. I tried to capture a photo, but photos don’t even do it justice.
Not only does it add a serious glow, but it also contains a host of skincare ingredients that deeply hydrate and firm the skin. For starters, a luxe blend of argan, marula, and jojoba oils glides and sinks easily into your skin without making it overly oily. My skin feels so soft after application. Next, it contains a hefty dose of peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and bisabolol to support a strong skin barrier and minimize any potential irritation from sun exposure.
It also, of course, features SPF 30 sun protection and Vacation’s signature scent.
