Northern California braces for possible hottest temperature of the year

(FOX40.COM) — After several days of clear skies and breezy winds, the heat is forecast to turn up in Northern California with possible triple-digit weather.

“After this comfortable stretch of weather from the holiday weekend, I’m putting you on notice that it is going to get hotter,” said FOX40 Chief Meteorologist Adam Epstein. “Next week we have some summer heat coming.”

According to Epstein, temperatures are forecast to rise to 90 degrees beginning on Tuesday.

“We’ll stay near 90 (degrees) on Wednesday. On Thursday, we’ll stay near the low to mid 90s,” Epstein said.” Friday is where I’m thinking we’ll touch 100 degrees.”

He added, “So if you don’t like heat, savor the next three days. And if you’re looking for some warmth, just be patient. It’s definitely coming for us.”
