My Cloud-like Sneakers Are From an Oprah-approved Brand
Every fall, I need new sneakers after logging so many steps in my go-to summer pair on trips, late-night walks, and weekend adventures. This year, I got lucky because just in time for my annual replacement purchase, I had the opportunity to test a pair from a brand with Oprah Winfrey’s stamp of approval.
Vionic made Winfrey’s famous Favorite Things list three years in a row — and for good reason. It’s a podiatrist-designed shoe brand that offers a wide variety of styles with supportive arch technology to prevent and relieve foot pain. I can attest to the top-quality comfort, as I’ve worn my Walker Strider Sneakers on countless five-mile hikes and felt like I was walking on clouds. Not only are they ultra-cushioned to keep me going on long walks and travel days, but their attractive design goes well with so much more than just athleisure, making them an essential on my packing list.Â
Vionic Walker Strider SneakersÂ
Vionic’s Walker Strider Sneakers are lightweight yet durable and feature firm underfoot cushioning that provides stability and absorbs impact, so my feet don’t get tired even after all-day wear and walking on hard surfaces for miles. Plus, thanks to the perforated heel, mesh upper, and moisture-controlling insole, they keep my feet cool no matter how sweaty I get or how long I have them on.Â
In addition to having all the bells and whistles, they fit my feet like a glove. I own several pairs of sneakers, and they all fit differently — either too snug, too loose in the toe or heel area, or unsupportive of my arch. From the second I slipped the Walker Striders on, I knew they were going to become my go-tos, and after wearing them on a 10,000-plus step day, it was official. Once it’s time to replace these, I’ll be purchasing the same pair.Â
I’m not the only one obsessed with this pair of Vionic sneakers: People with plantar fasciitis, jobs that require 12-hour shifts on their feet, and frequent travelers love them, too. A shopper with severe plantar fasciitis “tried several podiatrist-recommended brands” but had “no luck” until finding the Walker Strider Sneakers, adding that they have “excellent stability,” “style versatility,” and are “much more comfortable than [wearing their] custom-made orthotic.”Â
A traveler whose “feet tend to swell up while walking a lot” bought them for a European trip and said that they were so comfortable, they “didn’t think about [their] feet once,” while another wore them for the first time on a trip to Disney World and walked “19,352 steps” with “no pain.”
Whether you have a fall vacation planned or need a fresh pair of sneakers for daily wear, grab Vionic’s comfy pair that hundreds of others and I swear by. Below, you can shop more seasonal footwear finds from the Oprah-loved brand.Â
