We recently gave our bathroom a light-lift renovation, swapping out the bulky, ’80s-era medicine cabinet for an arched mirror, replacing the sconces with Etsy finds, color drenching the walls, ceiling, and door in a pistachio-hued paint, and hanging art. What I Like About the Molton Brown Reviving Rosemary Hand Care Gift Set

First off, the packaging is exquisite. If you’re guilty of buying a product based on aesthetics alone, this set is giving expensive British apothecary and it immediately elevates a bathroom or kitchen sink. Between the forest green color, silver pump base, and dark brown pump, these beauties are getting all the refills they’ll hold before they meet my recycling bin. I also appreciate how substantial they feel — even at 10fl oz. They’re thick but don’t hog precious counter space and don’t easily topple over. At the same time, I don’t have to worry about them shattering if one of my kids does accidentally knock them over.

I’m not sure if it’s the tamanu oil that’s included in the formula, but the hand wash is incredibly moisturizing. I have really sensitive, dry skin and am prone to eczema and psoriasis. With other hand soaps — especially fragranced hand soaps — my hands get extremely dry. With two little boys and a puppy, I’m constantly washing my hands, especially during the summer when they’re home all day and I’m on what feels like a 24/7 food prep and clean cycle. After using this hand soap for just three days, my hands feel silkier than ever, and the eczema patch on my pinkie finger is almost healed. The soap is so moisturizing that I don’t have to use the hand lotion after every wash. I use it a couple of times a day to keep my hands extra moisturized.

What to Consider Before Trying the Molton Brown Reviving Rosemary Hand Care Gift Set

The personal care products are rooted in the brand’s identity as a luxury fragrance company, so the scents are meant to be prominent. Each one is crafted by a master perfumer whose bio is displayed on the product page. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, it’s worth knowing that the scent of these products can linger for hours, even after you’ve washed your hands with another type of soap. My husband was the first person in our household to use the Reviving Rosemary Hand Care Gift Set, and when he joined me on the sofa to watch a movie after washing his hands, I was convinced he’d just spritzed himself with cologne.

With top notes of rosemary, a base note of patchouli, and heart notes of geranium and cedarwood, the Reviving Rosemary scent is earthy and masculine. It reminds me of what a crunchy British botanist’s aftershave might smell like. If that’s not your vibe, you might want to consider one of the brand’s other eight fragrances. Their iconic Orange & Bergamot scent is next on my list.
