As we’ve come to expect, this season showcased a beautiful collection of clothes meant for your typical Markarian girls: Those who like to go out and look good and also put-together. “I always keep our customer in mind, so we’ll always have great party wear,” explained Alexandra O’Neill. “But I’m also trying to keep the daywear going, so there are pieces like a great button down that you can wear with a gown skirt at night but also with a pair of jeans during the day.”
After seeing success with coats a few seasons ago, O’Neill also continued with her expansion of outerwear, which not only went with these more evening looks but can also be used as a functional piece for the everyday. A furry wool coat was anything but basic, with a curved pocket detailing for some extra dimension. It’s collarless so that you can still get a peek at your glam eveningwear underneath.
There was a polka-themed motif throughout the collection: a stellar tailored white polka dot pant set cinched just where you’d want it to while looking comfortable enough to wear for hours on end. And while the Markarian we’ve come to know is all about unique prints, this season a standout piece was a simple red corset midi dress with a scooped back for a sexy yet elegant vibe.
