Perhaps the most versatile piece of clothing out there, the little black dress transcends occasion, time, space—what have you. But for date night with Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber has taken a stab at a trendy LBD.
Last night, the two—fresh off their stylish trip to New York for Hailey’s Rhode pop-up—hit Funke, their favorite Los Angeles spot. As soon as the two emerged from their Tesla Cybertruck, it was clear they were going for drastically different vibes—as per their M.O.
Justin wore a typical outfit: a pale blue short-sleeved button-up with billowing black jeans that pooled around his black leather shoes. Summer heat be damned, the singer added a gray beanie to his look, and, for a pop of color, green-rimmed sunglasses.

Hailey, for her part, turned to Après Studio for her date-night ’fit. Her LBD featured a ruched, short-sleeved bodice (perfect for a summer pregnancy) and an über-trendy bubble-hem skirt. While the silhouette may be especially in style at the moment, she leaned into the dress’s timelessness with classic black leather loafers. Unable to commit to one pair of sunglasses, she emerged from the car in a pair of thin, ’90s-appropriate shades, switching them out for a more contemporary black rectangular pair later on. The only pop of color in her outfit came from the colorful printed scarves she tied around her black leather Miu Miu bag.
So, should you be looking for inspiration for your next date night, or are simply keen to try out popular styles without veering too hard into trendy territory, take a page out of Hailey Bieber’s book.
