Delta’s Newest Premium Lounge Is Opening at This Major Airport Next Year

Another major international hub is set to get an exclusive airport lounge dedicated to Delta Air Lines premium passengers.

“Delta’s second Sky Club in SEA is planned for December 2024, and our Delta One Lounge in SEA will open in 2025,” an airline spokesperson told T+L. “We look forward to sharing additional details soon.”

The news comes as the airline debuted the very first Delta One lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) this week. Two other hubs, Boston-Logan International Airport (BOS) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), will be home to Delta One lounges by the end of 2024.

These Delta One lounges are exclusively accessible to long-haul business and first class customers, select business and first class tickets on Delta partners, and Delta 360 members flying domestic first class — setting them apart from the existing network of Delta Sky Clubs. From a sit-down brasserie to a spa with facial and massage treatments, the airline’s new Delta One lounges are part of its commitment to serving luxury travelers.

It’s unclear just yet where exactly the airline plans to open the Delta One lounge in Seattle. The airline is gearing up to open its second Sky Club at Seattle’s Terminal A by the end of the year, and it’s possible that the space could be repurposed into a separate Delta One lounge area.

These premium lounges have been eagerly anticipated for Delta, as its major legacy competitors, United Airlines and American Airlines have long offered exclusive spaces for their Polaris and Flagship passengers, respectively.

In addition to Delta One lounges, a couple of Sky Club openings are planned for other non-hub airports by the end of 2024. An expansion of the Sky Club space at Miami International Airport (MIA) is set to open soon, while a new 15,000-square-foot lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) will debut by the end of the year.

All the while, Delta plans to add restrictions for its Sky Club network soon. Starting Feb. 1, 2025, the airline will limit credit card holders to a capped number of visits every year.
