Delta Announces Largest-ever Ski Schedule — With Flights to Aspen, Vail, and Jackson Hole
While the summer travel season is well underway, one major airline is looking ahead to make enhancements for ski season.
Delta Air Lines announced today it will operate their largest-ever flight schedule to popular ski destinations starting this year. The Atlanta-based carrier will operate a higher frequency or begin new service to the following popular ski destinations including: Aspen, Bozeman, Jackson Hole, Montrose/Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Sun Valley, and Vail.
“With our latest winter schedule, customers have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to places our customers want to fly to most, paired with the premium services and amenities our customers always enjoy,” Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito shared in a release about the new service.
In Los Angeles, Delta will reintroduce daily flights to Bozeman, Montana, Vail, Colorado, and Saturday flights to Sun Valley, Idaho. These flights will complement the existing daily flights to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Aspen, Colorado.
Delta will add a second daily frequency to Bozeman, Montana from Atlanta, which will add existing service to various destinations throughout Colorado including Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, and Montrose/Telluride.
Several ski destinations have become a popular tourism spot during the summer for hiking and outdoor enthusiasts, including Aspen and Bozeman, which Delta offers daily, year-round service to connect people to these locations.
Overall, Delta spotlights that the 2024-2025 ski destination / winter flight schedule will have 10% more seat capacity than the last season, and it comes at a good time as interest in skiing is on the rise.
This last year’s ski season was the fifth best overall record, with 60.4 million outdoor enthusiasts heading to nearby slopes, or visiting a new destination to ski, according to a recent report from the National Ski Areas Association.
