Contempt hearing gets fiery with unexpected Hunter Biden appearance: Live coverage

The Republican-led House just returned to Washington, D.C., and jumped straight back into its investigations of the Biden administration. 

On Wednesday morning, two separate GOP committees will held markups on a resolution to hold President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, in contempt of Congress after he defied a subpoena last month.

Hunter Biden surprised the House Oversight and Accountability Committee by appearing at its meeting.

At the same time, the House Homeland Security Committee kicked off its first impeachment hearing into Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
