Chrishell Stause Shares Her Confessions

Chrishell Stause is ready to spill. Having recently filmed season three of “The Traitors” and season nine of “Selling Sunset,” the reality star has had an intense run — and there's plenty she'd like to get off her chest. “It's an interesting balance, if I'm being honest with you,” she tells PS in honor of Violife's “creamy confessions” campaign. “In real life you would filter yourself and you would have a little more decorum. But in reality TV, that's no fun to watch.”

Over the years, Stause has grown increasingly comfortable on screen, with her unapologetic honesty serving as both a superpower and a point of tension. On “Selling Sunset,” that's meant cutting old ties, sticking up for her friends, and fanning the flames with her fellow castmates. Season nine, though, she's mainly focused on wrapping up loose ends, calling the start of the season “the most explosive” yet. “There were a lot of open-ended things last season, which — I don't think it's a secret — I didn't love,” Stause says. “I just feel like if you're going to start a storyline about someone, let them defend themselves.”

“I let too many people get in my head.”

Amid all the televised chaos, Stause credits her diet and wellness routine for helping her stay balanced. Recently, that has involved eating less meat and having more dairy-free mornings. “I have loaded schedules and a lot of times I have to be running off of no sleep, which is why I'm such an avid coffee drinker,” she says. Since cutting out energy drinks and prioritizing plant-based choices like Violife's non-dairy creamer, Stause feels like she's struck a better balance. “It's so much better for the animals and the planet,” she says. “It's just being more conscious of the choices you're making.”

But healthy choices go far deeper than diet. Following “The Traitors” season three reunion, Stause says she's also been working on restoring her relationship with Nikki Garcia (who she voted out of the castle). “I cried watching it. I sent her a voice note like, ‘I'm sorry,'” Stause says. “I let too many people get in my head.”

Thankfully, the two have since been able to repair their friendship. “[Nikki] and I have spent the most time [out] of anyone outside of the castle,” Stause says. Together, they've done a podcast, had a “bonding night,” and are currently planning to visit Napa with Stause's partner, G Flip.

In some ways, Stause's personal life imitates her journey on reality TV. Both on and off screen, she commits to making healthy choices, maintaining her relationships, and telling it exactly how it is (even if people don't want to hear it). “The sweet spot is to say exactly what you're thinking and not filter yourself,” Stause says. “As you can see, that's a recipe for trouble . . . and that's what makes it so good.”
