Burger King Is Giving Away an 8-Ounce Hidden Valley Ranch Big Dip Cup With Every Sandwich

Back in July when Burger King announced the rollout of its limited-time-only Fiery Menu full of spicy sandwiches and sides, there was one inclusion that joined the permanent menu: the Hidden Valley Ranch dip cups, initially offered as a cooling counterbalance to the Fiery Chicken Fries but complementary to BK’s entire menu. While the typical Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup at Burger King contains 1 ounce of sauce, the two brands are now collaborating on a huge 8-ounce cup called the Big Dip — and this one will only be available while supplies last.

While the typical 1-ounce ranch packets are great for dipping fries into, this new eight-times-larger condiment cup, available starting October 16, is big enough for dunking an entire sandwich, whether it’s the Whopper or a Royal Crispy Chicken.

But Hidden Valley enthusiasts, be warned: The Big Dip isn’t available just anywhere. Only Burger King locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco will have these oversized ranch cups; you can find out which restaurants have them by checking this tracker. At every participating location, the Big Dip can be requested in-store for free with the purchase of any sandwich.

Fans who don’t live near any of the BK x HVR collab locations can still get the Big Dip by visiting www.hiddenvalley.com from October 16–18, where the cups will be available for $1.

“We know our Guests love dipping everything in ranch — even their sandwiches — so we’re excited to deliver a Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup big enough for all of their dipping and dunking needs,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer of Burger King North America, in the press release.

Fans who don’t live near any of the BK x HVR collab locations can still get the Big Dip by visiting www.hiddenvalley.com from October 16–18, where the cups will be available for $1. They ship nationwide and although supplies might run out, the stock replenishes each day at 11 a.m.

Burger King is smart to capitalize on the popularity of ranch, which has expanded well beyond the realm of salads in the 21st century and is routinely paired with pizza, chicken sandwiches, wings, and cheese curds at restaurants that might have once eschewed the combination. And ranch is a lot like ketchup in that, sure, Burger King could develop its own in-house recipe, but why do that when the name-brand stuff (Heinz ketchup, Hidden Valley Ranch dressing) is what everyone wants anyway?

Meanwhile, this is just the latest in a truly impressive string of Hidden Valley Ranch brand collaborations in recent months. Over the past 1.5 years alone, we’ve seen Hidden Valley Ranch x Van Leeuwen ice cream, Hidden Valley Ranch Cheez-It crackers, HelloFresh x HVR ranch flights, Hidden Valley Ranch seasoned popcorn at AMC Theatres, and even Burt’s Bees x Hidden Valley Ranch Lip Balm in four “Ranch Dippers” flavors.

If you think all these products might make you sick of ranch flavor, well, then perhaps you just don’t fully appreciate the allure of buttermilk, mayo, and a slew of herbs and spices emulsified to dipping, dunking, or drizzling perfection. (Or you grew up outside the Midwest. Take your pick.)
