Bill O'Reilly: Election spending aside, Harris was 'bad candidate'
Top members of Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign joined “Pod Save America” to give a post-election postmortem Harris’s bid, which former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly found to be “so ridiculous.”
O’Reilly said Tuesday that those on the lengthy episode failed to admit any fault.
“It’s kind of like the New York Jets. You guys follow the football, nobody did anything wrong, and they’re 3-8,” he told NewsNation’s “CUOMO.”
The team is under fire for reportedly blowing Harris’ massive war chest, leaving the campaign $20 million in debt, per a source familiar with the situation.
“I hope people see the absurdity of all of this,” O’Reilly said, referencing the campaign’s explanations on the podcast — which shifted focus to the legality of Trump’s super PAC funding.
He also pointed to Harris’s limited media appearances in her short run. The Democratic candidate often opted for more liberal leaning media appearances, including a pricey chat with Oprah.
“So even the dumbest Americans … they go, ‘How come she won’t answer any questions?'” O’Reilly told host Brian Entin. “She’s a “bad candidate. That’s why she lost.”
Harris’ campaign has denied any post-election debt.
“As of Election Day, there were no outstanding debts or bills overdue and there will be no debt on either the DNC or HFP report for post general report,” Patrick Stauffer, Harris campaign’s chief financial officer, told The Hill.
NewsNation is owned by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
