Best Amazon Cyber Monday Deals From a Flight Attendant

I’ve been a flight attendant for 10 years, and after flying multiple flights on two- or three-day trips around the world, sometimes I look at my luggage and realize it needs a little refresh. Whether it‘s busted zippers on my trusty packing cubes or fraying on my go-to slippers, I turn to Amazon. But this time of year is even better for stocking up on my favorite travel essentials: Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale is already here, with everything I need for a smooth and easy flight and layover. After all, who doesn’t want to be cozy and comfortable at their destination?

If you’ve noticed that your travel gear also needs upgrading, rest assured that this frequent flier has you covered with a list of genius travel accessories to elevate your next flight (and make packing for it a whole lot easier). I found a cozy matching set that will make you feel right at home, the perfect travel mug, and plenty of other gadgets that will help you pack like a pro. Better yet, they’re all up to 50 percent off during Amazon’s early Cyber Monday sale. So, let’s get shopping!

RockDove Faux Leather Bootie Slippers

Amazon

Versatile footwear options are always on my packing list to prevent overpacking (nothing weighs down a suitcase quite like multiple pairs of bulky shoes). Since I’m on my feet for long periods of time as a flight attendant, I need styles that are extra supportive but still stylish to wear out and about. I usually reach for my favorite Minnetonka slipper booties, but you can get this darling lookalike pair on sale for $22 today.

Lillusory Cardigan Jogger Matching Set

Amazon

Did someone say matching set? I recommend every traveler hop on the trend because it helps free up suitcase space; you can double your outfit options by mixing and matching the pieces with other items in your wardrobe. Here’s a hack for you: these sets are so comfortable, but I insist on opting for one that comes with joggers so you can have bands around the ankles (psst: that’s not just water on the floor of the airplane lavatory). With the secure ankle bands, you won’t worry about your hemline while you’re freshening up.

Samsonite Evolve Expandable Hardside Luggage Set

Amazon

Have you checked your luggage since you returned from your beach vacation? If it’s not in great shape to handle the holiday travel season rush, you’ll want to check out this amazing Samsonite luggage set deal. The smaller-sized option is perfect for overhead bins and the larger one is big enough for all your winter gear if you’re embarking on a long trip. And who doesn’t love the expansion option? Inevitably, you’ll find souvenirs and locally made goodies to bring home.

TravelWise Packing Cube Set

Amazon

If you’re not using packing cubes, please tell me what you’re waiting for. This TravelWise set is a great starter pack with its five included cubes (and is sitting at a pretty good price tag thanks to Amazon’s Cyber Monday savings). And just think, when if a TSA agent is looking through your luggage, your unmentionables won’t be on full display. And, you can dump the contents of each cube straight into the washer once you get home.

GetfuQi Hot Water Bottle With Cover

Amazon

It’s nearly impossible to find the perfect average temperature to please everyone on the plane (the in-flight crew tends to choose cooler rather than warmer; 72 degrees Fahrenheit is perfect though). If you are chilly on airplanes, this water bottle will be life-changing. During drink service, you can ask for a cup of hot water, or wait until service is over and trash is picked up, then head to the galley and ask the flight attendant to fill your bottle with hot water. The cabin always seems to be extra cold, so I’ll put my bottle on top of my feet to warm my toes.

Elfjoy Long Puffer Vest

Amazon

Long vests are my new favorite travel outerwear as they take up half the space of traditional coats. I love that this down vest packs down small enough to fold in my backpack if the plane is too warm; honestly, bulky jacket sleeves seem to get in the way when I’m sipping my mimosa and watching movies in-flight. The length adds warmth in all the right places while still looking stylish over my jogger set.

JBL Over-ear Wireless Headphones

Amazon

I have a few requirements for travel tech: it must be packable, have a long battery life, and be colorful. These JBL headphones check all three boxes (if you opt for the stunning purple hue). Before you tell me that you’ll never use anything but your earbuds, hear me out: no one wants to crawl around on the airplane floor looking for your lost headphone (not even your friendly flight attendants). These over-ear headphones are packable and offer over 75 hours of battery life (aka, you likely won’t have to recharge your whole trip), and they’re 50 percent off. All wins in my book.

Miikare Universal Phone Mount

Amazon

Speaking of in-flight entertainment, I found this handy little phone mount from MiiKare on sale that will help you tune into your favorite shows and movies from the comfort of your airplane seat. You know I love the color selection, but my favorite part is that it fits any phone in (almost) any case. It features multiple different attachment methods so it should work regardless of the plane you’re on — and it rotates. No one wants to add tech neck to their ailments, and this gadget avoids that (and the pins and needles feeling in your arm) completely.

Contigo 16-ounce Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Cup

Amazon

Some people like to travel with gigantic tumblers, but I prefer a much smaller version. You’ll usually catch me sipping out of my favorite Created mug, which has a leak-proof closure and ceramic lining (and it’s even on sale!). I’ve had everything from soup to coffee to cocktails in this cutie and not once has there been a flavor or smell left behind. For a more budget-friendly option, this on-sale Contigo mug comes in close second with its sensible size, leak-proof top, and equally stylish look.

Alive Passport Wallet With Apple AirTag Slot

Amazon

Traveling internationally? This passport wallet needs to be on your radar. We all share the anxiety of losing your passport while out of the country, but this travel wallet can hold an Apple AirTag, too — it’s like buying peace of mind. It has two handy card slots too, so it’s the only wallet you’ll need out playing tourist.

Flight attendant pro tip: When you renew your passport, get the passport card and travel with both versions, but leave your book locked in the safe in your hotel. You’ll have an international ID at hand, but you won’t risk getting your precious passport pickpocketed when you’re out and about.

Flueston Writing Tablet Doodle Board

Amazon

Traveling with kids? Or do you like to doodle? Check out this upgraded version of the Etch A Sketch. You can play Tic-tac-toe to your heart’s content or retrace the beach sunset on this tablet-sized toy for all ages. It’s nice to unplug from our normal devices and relax a bit — we’re on vacation, after all.

Stasher Food Grade Reusable Storage Bags

Amazon

I know you’re wondering how Stashers ended up on this list, but ask yourself: who doesn’t like snacks? Frequent fliers on my snack packing list include blueberries, trail mix, jerky, and chocolate. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, you can reuse the silicone bags so you can have snacks while you’re out exploring. And if you’re lucky enough to have good cooks in your family, you can pack some holiday meal leftovers in them for the trip home.

Outside of snacking, Stasher bags also make a leakproof toiletry bag in a pinch and can even be used to safely store jewelry, medications, and other tiny travel essentials.

Puryupearl 6-piece Silicone Water Bottle Buckles

Amazon

Not everyone wants to keep track of a nice drinking vessel, and I get that. So if you’re the kind that grabs water at the first kiosk past security, here’s a gadget for you. The silicone band fits over any water bottle and clips it securely to your carry-on. And, it comes in a six-pack, which means you can outfit everyone in your group with one. Sounds like the perfect stocking stuffer to me.

+Wis+ Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask

Amazon

It doesn’t matter if you’re fresh off a plane, on the ski slopes, or enjoying a day at the beach, we all could use a little hydration and pampering. This TSA-approved facial-on-the-go is a game changer for dry, stressed-out skin from traveling. Show up to the beach club or aprés ski looking energized with a dewy glow. I also love that I can tuck them in my carry-on for extra-long flights when my neighbor won’t turn off their air vent. With these masks in tow, I know I’ll look fresh and ready for holiday travel adventures.

Tiger Balm 2-pack

Amazon

In-flight crew members love Tiger Balm — and even though it’s not on sale, it’s a steal at this price and a must-have for any long-haul flights. It’s so nice to be able to use a natural product for minor aches and pains before reaching for Advil. I take it in the restroom with me to rub on my back to get rid of any stiffness. And here’s another tip for you: if your seatmate doesn’t smell as fresh as you do, rub a little below your nose and enjoy the scent of healing essential oils.
