Beep Beep! Rosé Method Dresses for a Debut Album Victory Lap
Rosie is here—Rosé dropped her first solo album this weekend. In the run-up to the artist’s anticipated release, she’s been sharing the transformative journey she’s been on that’s embedded in her debut’s intimate key themes: the heartbreak, the insecurities and personal growth, the reimagining of her image and ethos as a solo artist outside of the all-encompassing Blackpink universe. With this triumph comes its sartorial match.
The “toxic til the end” singer pulled up to her I <3 ROSIE album release pop-up on the Lower East Side on Friday night, driving herself to the door in a blush pink vintage Cadillac car. Stepping out, Rosé wore a red, white and blue oversized Bud racing jacket, with a grey Mickey Mouse hoodie underneath, a brown skirt, and brown and blue plaid pumps. She emerged from the whip to pose and take photos with the hordes of fans in attendance.
It’s a silhouette we’re used to seeing on the Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co. ambassador, who likes to play with shapes and proportions. Usually, you’ll find her in a Brandy Melville hoodie and relaxed pants or cargos on off-duty days. But when she’s heading out, she’ll pair a boxy YSL leather jacket or oversized tuxedo blazer with a miniskirt, The Row’s Kongis jacket bomber with short-shorts or a suede dress. For album launch night, Rosé took this formula and method dressed it up for a well-deserved victory lap.
