Staud Resort 2026 Collection | Vogue
Despite having a closet full of archival fashion—including, famously, a few pieces from Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s own iconic wardrobe—Sarah Staudinger loves actually wearing the clothes she designs. That means that when she’s working on a new collection, she makes things that are, above all, true to her own style—minimal with a flair for fun.
For resort, she showed wardrobe essentials like puffer jackets and basic tanks, but look closely and things are suddenly not so simple anymore. A detachable scarf on the jacket can be worn in a multitude of ways (including as a mini skirt!), while the tank features a sheer mushroom motif, which matches her new bag of the season, in the shape of the fungi. Further keeping things easy, Staudinger zeroed-in on wrinkle-proof vacation wear, like pleated pant sets that can be worn straight out of the suitcase; or a lace-up ballet flat that looks just as good with an evening gown as it does with a more casual outfit (that’s one fewer pair of shoes to pack in the suitcase).
For those who prefer a dressier shoe, there are kitten heels in an assortment of colors in satin and leather. “There are some cool evening shoes in our collection this season,” said Staudinger. “[That’s] something kind of missing from the market, so I wanted to explore heels in interesting materials and shapes that also didn’t make you feel 18 feet tall and uncomfortable.”
