Millie Bobby Brown Launched a New Luggage Line

Throughout her transformation from child star to burgeoning businesswoman, Millie Bobby Brown, 21, has lived many lives. But grinning at me below a pair of bright purple glasses, it’s clear she’s held onto the sparkle that made her a household name to begin with—a fact that’s effortlessly bled into her newly launched travel collaboration with the iconic luggage giant, Delsey Paris. “When we started thinking about luggage, the only partnership that came to mind was Delsey with their expertise and renowned history of luxurious but practical luggage,” she recently told Travel + Leisure of the new Florence by Mills x Delsey collection.

Brown has been traveling for work since childhood, from press runs for her new film, The Electric State, to life on a farm in Georgia while filming the final season of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things. So it was only natural that after launching her brand, Florence by Mills, she would eventually turn her sights to luggage. With a successful line of Gen Z-centric beauty and style products under her belt, Brown is now bringing that same zest to the travel space with this line of fun, accessible luggage that she wishes she’d had all along. 

“I was really excited to partner up with Delsey to create something that feels both practical and stylish,” she shared. Her husband, Jake Bongiovi, is also a big fan of the line, including the Chill Out Weekender that he can’t get enough of. “He's always taking it around for weekend trips,” she told us.

The 15-product collection encompasses everything a young traveler needs to streamline their adventures while staying true to their personal style, from hardside checked luggage to handy accessories like packing cubes and crossbody purses. (Many are available in the lilac shade Florence by Mills has become known for—“It’s always been my favorite color!” Brown says.) And, if Delsey’s esteem is any indicator, the collection’s high quality will make it a worthwhile investment for your travels. 

Luckily, Brown wasn’t shy about divulging the best pieces from the collab, as well as her other favorite travel essentials she won’t leave home without.

Gotta Glow Hardside Spinner

As a self-professed hardside luggage person, Brown pointed to the Gotta Glow Hardside Spinner as her favorite pick from the collection, especially since it comes with packing cubes. “I like to be organized and have something that feels practical,” she shared of the spacious carry-on that also comes in two larger, checked sizes. “You can also extend and make it bigger, which I'm always using,” she said, adding that she often utilizes this feature before she’s even begun packing. 

The vibrant, polycarbonate suitcase is certainly eye-catching, but it’s also fitted with useful details like built-in straps, a mesh divider, and the aforementioned set of four packing cubes. And since Brown prefers traveling with a carry-on instead of checking a bag—“I really hate waiting for my bag, it's my least favorite thing ever,” she disclosed—the 20-inch roller is the perfect choice.

When we spoke, Brown had just returned from a trip to Brazil to celebrate the premiere of her new movie, The Electric State, and it was the still-packed Carefree Carry Backpack that she hurried off-camera to grab as evidence of her adoration for the line. She walked me through its multitude of thoughtful features, like the padded computer compartment and the pocket where she stores her passport. “These compartments changed my life,” she raved. “It changed my travel experience because I'm able to make sure I have everything and know where [each item] is.”

According to Brown, the Chill Out Weekender Bag is a favorite of her husband, Bongiovi, but she noted that she especially loves how it’s not only stylish, but that every traveler will find it useful. Available in lavender and black, the spacious duffel has a zippered shoe compartment at its base, along with additional hidden pockets to help maximize organization. 

In fact, Brown revealed that extra storage space was one of the biggest things she aimed to achieve with this collection, noting that so many other bags don’t have the compartments she needs for her “bits and bobs.” And while this duffel is large enough as your only bag for short-duration trips, it also comes fitted with a luggage sleeve that slides over the handle of your rolling suitcase for added convenience. 

On A Roll 28-inch Duffel

While Brown herself may prefer hardside luggage, she shared that if she had to reach for a softside bag, it would be the On A Roll 28-inch Duffel—a favorite amongst her team. She joked that this suitcase to those moments where you’re “fighting for your life,” struggling to close your bag. “That’s the thing with the duffels, they’re so easy to zip up,” she said.

It unzips like a standard hardside, making it easy to pack (and close), while a mesh divider and two adjustable straps compress your clothing to keep your luggage from overflowing. No Drama Packing Cube Set

There’s no denying that packing cubes are some of the best organizational tools while traveling, and now that Brown has released a set of her own, she’s enjoying how they’ve transformed her suitcase. “My friends have always used packing cubes. I've seen how wonderfully organized those suitcases look and always thought, ‘I should do that,’—and then never did,” she laughed.

After briefly rummaging through the backpack at her side, she proudly unveiled the scarf she’s working on in a (very on-brand) baby purple yarn. “I'm almost never without wool and needles,” she confessed, “That’s probably what I travel with the most.”
