Sam’s Club’s Holidog Is the Seriously Twisted Holiday-Themed Hot Dog You Never Knew You Needed

It seems like everyone is getting into the holiday spirit by releasing a gimmicky, new holiday-themed treat — and honestly, we’d try them all. But, one holiday offering just came across our inbox that’s simply too spectacular to ignore: The Holidog. And it’s exactly what you think it is – a holiday hot dog, which Sam’s Club describes as “half Thanksgiving, half Christmas.”

“As the holiday season approaches, families are looking for convenient, high-quality meals at a great value,” the big box chain shared in a statement via email with Food & Wine. “To help, Sam’s Club is introducing the Holidog — a limited-time twist on their popular hot dog, combining Thanksgiving and Christmas toppings all on one bun.”

Guests can pick up one of the three curated holiday combos (or heck, get one of each), which include the “Club Mash Up,” a hot dog topped with mashed Potatoes and Christmas cookies. Then there’s the “Frankly Both,” topped with pumpkin pie and candy canes, and “Season’s Meatings,” topped with turkey and prime rib (which is also the only one that seems to, at least flavor-wise, make sense, but we aren’t here to judge).

And before you ask (because we did, too), you really can get these. In fact, on the Sam’s Club website, it says, “Can I, like, actually get this,” to which it replied, “Yes. Yes, you can.”

But there is (naturally) a catch. You can’t find it in the Sam’s Club stores. Instead, you’ll have to visit the Holidog carts that the company is hosting in three cities across the U.S. in December. First up is New York City, where you’ll find the cart on the corner of Water & Fulton Streets on Thursday, December 5, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Next, the cart will be in Nashville at 315 Broadway on Monday, December 9, from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. (or until sold out). And finally, in Dallas at Pegasus Plaza on Thursday, December 12, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (or until sold out).

And just in case you aren’t into the three pre-topped hot dogs, you can create your own by choosing one Thanksgiving topping (Member’s Mark Hickory Smoked Whole Turkey, Member’s Mark Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, or Member’s Mark Apple Pie) and one Christmas topping (Member’s Mark Fully Cooked Prime Rib, Member’s Mark Christmas Cutout Cookies, or Crushed Doscher’s Candy Canes). Then, you can top it with gravy, parsley, whipped cream, or cranberry sauce.

And here’s the incredible part: It’s all for free. Because why would you pay for something this…festive?
