House Democrats are holding a press conference Wednesday morning as their GOP counterparts continue to push President Trump's legislative agenda forward.
Democrats, led by Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar (Calif.) have openly pushed back against sweeping cuts in the Republican-backed “big, beautiful” spending package, including an expansion of Trump's tax cuts and efforts to slash Medicaid funding and green tax credits.
They have also aired frustration in recent weeks over the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration and legal action taken against political opponents including charges against New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver (D) and a staffer of Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.).
Their remarks are scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
