This Budget Airline Added 2 New Routes to Key West, Florida—What to Know


  • Breeze Airways is a low-cost airline founded by former JetBlue co-founder David Neeleman.
    It will now have two new routes to Key West, adding flights from Tampa and Orlando.

Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is expanding their footprint in Florida this summer.

Beginning in June, Breeze Airways will launch two new nonstop routes from within the state of Florida to Key West, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. Flights are available to be booked online.

Flights will depart from Key West International Airport (EYW) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) four times per week. Travelers can purchase introductory fare tickets starting at $39. 

Additionally, flights will depart from Key West International Airport (EYW) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) four times per week. Travelers can purchase introductory fare tickets starting at $39.

“We’re excited to extend our service within the Sunshine State with the addition of new service to Key West,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, said in a statement shared with T + L. “We’re confident this will be a very popular addition to Breeze’s national network and look forward to welcoming new and existing Guests to the area onboard an upcoming Breeze flight this summer.”

Breeze Airways will also increase their existing service between Tampa International Airport and Pensacola International Airport (PNS) to run four times per week, beginning June 5.

Key West is known for its barrier coral reef, its many beaches, the Ernest Hemingway house, and its offbeat bars and lively nightlife.
