Iced Coffee lovers, rejoice — Summer Fridays’s viral Iced Coffee Lip Butter Balm ($24) is now a permanent flavor. After releasing last fall as part of a limited-edition trio set for the holidays, it sold out quickly, leaving fans wanting more. But now, the wait is over. And as someone who starts every day with an iced coffee chanting, as Lorelai Gilmore would say, “Coffee! Coffee! Coffee,” I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
The Iced Coffee is the eighth flavor to join the brand’s award-winning permanent lineup, which also features Pink Sugar (a personal favorite), Vanilla, Sweet Mint, Poppy, Vanilla Beige, Brown Sugar, Pink Sugar, and Cherry.

What I Like About the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Butter Balm
When I got the new balm, the first thing I was most excited to see was if it actually smelled like iced coffee — which I’m very happy to report that it does. It almost has a light caramel scent to it, yet it’s not overpowering. The fragrant scent is stronger when you first apply it but fades over time.
The color provides a very sheer cocoa color to the lips, as promised, which I like because it gives me a hint of color without being too dark. It’s pretty similar to the rest of the colorways in the collection, providing a translucent chestnut hue that looks very natural on your lips. I personally don’t opt for super dark lip colors, so I can see myself reaching for this one regularly.
What I’m obsessed with most about the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Butter Balm is that you don’t get that annoying white residue that sometimes accumulates on your lips after wearing a lip balm for a few hours. In fact, out of all of the major brands I’ve tried, it’s the one I keep coming back to for that reason alone. It’s also the most nourishing lip balm I’ve come across, and it doesn’t dry up my lips quickly. The key is its nourishing and ultra-hydrating ingredients of shea and murumuru seed butter, which help soothe, heal, and condition dry lips. I don’t find myself constantly reaching to reapply because my lips feel dry after use, which is another major plus. Overall, I can say that this lip balm will be featured heavily in my daily rotation.
How to Use the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Butter Balm
This lip butter can be applied as needed throughout the day and can also be used as part of your makeup routine. If you want to add more color, you can apply a lip liner or a thicker coat of balm on top to make the brown come through. You can also wear lipstick underneath and apply it as a top coat for a little shine.
What to Consider Before Trying the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Butter Balm?
If you’re looking for a lip balm that packs a punch with color, this isn’t for you. As I mentioned earlier, the balm provides a very subtle hue that can be amped up with the addition of lipstick or lip liner. If you want saturated color but still want your lips to feel nourished, I suggest trying the Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oils.
