Sonic Just Launched an Entire Pickle Menu — Yes, Even the Drink

Sonic Drive-In is ensuring your next meal is as tangy as it gets.

On Monday, the brand announced its partnership with Grillo's Pickles for a limited-time collaboration that “puts pickles front and center.” The two brands are joining forces to offer the Big Dill Meal, which is actually a lineup of goodies that can be ordered together or individually at all Sonic locations nationwide starting June 30.

“Pickle-flavored menu items are trending, but not all pickle meals are created equal,” Barb Williams, the vice president of marketing and strategy at Sonic, shared in a statement. “We’ve been innovating in pickles since 2018, so pickles are kind of our thing. We’ve done slushes, we’ve done burgers — and now, with help from our friends at Grillo’s, we’re taking our pickle obsession to the next level.”

That lineup includes the Sonic x Grillo’s Pickles Big Dill Double & Triple Sonic Smasher, which is described as “a larger-than-life take on the beloved Double Sonic Smasher, featuring hand-smashed Angus beef.” The burger features two slices of American cheese, dill pickle-seasoned crispy cucumbers, dilly ranch, lettuce, and, of course, Grillo’s Pickle Chips, all nestled between a soft potato bun. The Big Dill Double Sonic Smasher starts at $7.49. Want more meat? The Big Dill Triple Sonic Smasher is also available, starting at $8.49.

Next, you can wash it all down with the Sonic x Grillo’s Pickles Picklerita Slush, described as a “tart and sweet slush” made with a blend of pickle juice and tart lime that will surely make your cheeks pucker with the first sip. It also features Pickle Juice Flavor Bubbles and is topped with a Grillo’s Pickle Chip for an extra punch. It starts at $3.99 for 20 ounces.

Finally, Sonic x Grillo’s Pickles offers Seasoned Tots or Groovy Fries as the ultimate side. Guests can select either option, as both are coated in Grillo’s Pickle seasoning, starting at $2.99 for a medium.

Beyond that, every guest who orders the full Big Dill Meal will receive a complimentary pickle-scented car air freshener, modeled after “Sam-Sam the Pickle Man,” aka Grillo's mascot, so your car can always smell like pickles.
