Research Associates at Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Land Management Dehradun

The positions of Research Associate are in Remote Sensing and GIS (1), Land Resources (1) and Social Science (Gender Studies) (1). Remuneration will be Rs. 47000/- per month. Engagement as RA will be initially for a period of one year from the date of appointment. Place of posting will be at Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Land Management, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Only Indian Nationals are eligible. Upper age limit is 35 years on 31.07.2023, which is relaxable up to 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC.

Disciplines and Essential Qualifications: Remote Sensing and GIS – Doctorate degree or having 3-year research/teaching experience in RS-GIS-related subjects after Post graduation (first class) in Geoinformatics or related subjects/Forestry/Environmental Science/Environment Management from a recognized University/Institute. Desirable: Proven record of proficiency in using RS-GIS tools, satellite image processing, use of ERDAS, ArcGIS or QGIS, Mapping of land use and land degradation.

Land Resources: Doctorate degree or having 3-year research/teaching experience after Post graduation (first class) in Soil Science/Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry/Natural Resource Management/ Forestry/Environmental Science/Environment Management from a recognized University.

Social Science (Gender Studies): Doctorate degree or having 3-year research/teaching experience after Post graduation (first class) in Social Science/Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Extension/Agricultural Statistics from a recognized University/ Institute.
