New restaurant and stores join Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge’s in Studio City – Daily News

The Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge, an upscale shopping plaza in Studio City, is welcoming a new set of tenants, according to the plaza’s owners.

Shoppers can enjoy three additional stores and restaurants at the plaza, which for decades was a popular gathering place that drew film studio executives and Hollywood stars such as Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn and John Wayne.

“Midwood is thrilled to welcome three exceptional new tenants to The Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge,” said Ron Bondy, executive vice president of leasing at Midwood Investment & Development. “Kismet Rotisserie, Zadig & Voltaire, and Cosette wine bar and bottle shop add new dimensions to our already vibrant mix of retailers and restaurants.”

The new tenants will join a roster of upscale restaurants and stores that includes Fred Segal, Allbirds, Madewell, and Parachute Home.

The Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge opened its doors in 2021 and is now 100% leased, according to the plaza’s owners. It offers open-air shopping areas, communal spaces and a redwood deck.

“Our team has been constantly sourcing to find the best retail, lifestyle, and food and beverage brands to bring to The Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge ever since the development of the center began,” said John Usdan, chief executive officer at Midwood Investment & Development, in a statement.

New York City-based Midwood Investment & Development recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation,  adding the upscale supermarket chain Erewhon Market, Sugarfish restaurant and luxury fitness club Equinox.

The shopping plaza at the corner of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Ventura Boulevard has other tenants, including Civil Coffee, Free People Movement, Madison Reed, Myodetox, Roberta’s Pizza, SALT Optics, Tocaya, Tuesday’s Sweet Shoppe and Ushi Ushi.

Last year, the owners of the plaza announced their plans to demolish the adjacent historic Sportsmen’s Lodge Hotel and build apartments and additional stores. The hotel remains at the site and it’s unclear when construction on the site will start, according to Miki Akil, a spokesperson for Midwood Investment & Development.

Known as the Residences at Sportsmen’s Lodge, the project would include three mixed-use buildings with stores and 520 apartments that will include 78 units for low-income families, according to city documents.
