Diving Into Ocean Education! WonderWorks Myrtle Beach Invites Guests to Celebrate National Ocean Month During June
MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — (June 10, 2024) — June is considered National Ocean Month, as designated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). To celebrate the occasion and to put our oceans in the spotlight, WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is inviting everyone to visit the upside-down house this summer to learn more about our oceans and those that work to conserve them. WonderWorks provides a fun, indoor option for those looking to continue learning all summer long, with various interactive exhibits and experiences.
“Myrtle Beach is one of the best beach towns on the East Coast, and we love educating our guests about the wonders of our oceans!” says Kaitlin Barnes, education sales manager at WonderWorks Myrtle Beach. “It’s important to keep up with marine conservation efforts and remember all the small ways you can help keep our oceans healthy.”
As NOAA celebrates National Ocean Month in June, WonderWorks strives to spread information and raise awareness about our oceans through several exhibits that highlight marine life. They provide guests with fun ways to learn about the oceans, the importance of maintaining their health, and their relation to a stable climate. Families can learn about sharks by visiting the Shark Sense 4D exhibit, which offers a unique and educational VR experience under the sea. This exhibit is highly immersive and multisensory.
Additionally, WonderWorks Myrtle Beach teamed up with NOAA and SeaWorld to put a spotlight on the field of marine biology. Those interested in learning more about this fascinating career path can read about what a marine biologist does and see what it takes to become one. Through several interactive elements, guests can see if they have what it takes to enter this vital career field.
As we head into the summer months, WonderWorks offers a great indoor place to learn something new while taking a break from the heat of the beaches or to escape rainy days. The upside-down house at Broadway at the Beach offers four floors of interactive exhibits and tons of thrilling attractions, all under one roof. There is something for everyone inside, including a ropes course, laser tag, arcade games, virtual simulators, the 6D XD Motion Theater, and more. Guests can also experience the outdoors on the Soar + Explore ropes course and zipline experience.
“Whether you want to soak in the sun while taking on the outdoor zipline or enjoy the interactive exhibits in the air conditioning, WonderWorks is the place to be this summer. Education and fun go hand in hand at our indoor amusement park for the mind!” says Robert Stinnett, general manager at WonderWorks Myrtle Beach.
