Gird your loins! The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in production and—even off camera—Anne Hathaway is dressing the part.
The actor was photographed on the set of the sequel dressed in an outfit that is decidedly more Anne than Andy. Hathaway was spotted on the streets of New York City dressed in a summery look: a white tank top underneath an open black waistcoat and a light-wash denim maxi skirt with a frayed hem.

On Instagram, Hathaway teased a look at the 2025 Andy Sachs, dressed the part of a digital media mogul in a pinstripe waistcoat and trousers, black boots, and a heap of necklaces. Still, there was a hint of the 2006 Andy in Hathaway’s off-duty style. While the original film saw Runway employees quickly discarding their commuter clogs for stilettos, Andie traded in her loafers for her famous thigh-high Chanel boots. These days, though, there’s no need to clomp around in heels. Today Hathaway opted for the luxury market’s answer to orthopedic sandals: a pair of black Chanels with a double Velcro strap.
While these may not be part of her costume, we’re still hopeful that one day we’ll get to hear Anne Hathaway utter the glorious words: “Are you wearing the…?” “The Chanel Velcro dad sandals? Yeah, I am.”
