Glastonbury is over for another year, and attention now turns to Wimbledon, where the style mood is less Barbour jackets, slogan tees and short shorts, more polite heels and summer tailoring. Wimbledon fans may well be deprived of their usual Princess of Wales sighting this year, given that the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club has temporarily stepped away from her public engagements as she continues to focus on her health, but the tournament is already delivering on spectator style.
David Beckham kicked things off on Monday in a custom Boss suit, while former world number one Maria Sharapova wore Burberry to take in the first day of the tournament. On Tuesday, Grace Jones popped up in the stands wearing a flying helmet and aviator shades, strawberry in one hand, plastic wine glass in the other (once an icon…). Wednesday, meanwhile, brought an appearance from small-screen royalty in the shape of Kim Cattrall, who arrived at the All England Club in pink suiting and shades as her former Sex and the City co-stars are busy filming for season three of And Just Like That.
